Berkeley Lab receives $30 Million to Push Quantum Information Science Frontiers

The U.S. Department of Energy announced that Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) will receive $30 million over five years to build an Advanced Quantum Testbed (AQT) and collaborate with industry, academia, and other national laboratories. LBNL anchors a unique Berkeley Quantum ecosystem consisting of startups, large enterprises, and UC Berkeley. The Molecular Foundry and National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC), both located at LBNL, are a few of the DOE Office of Science User Facilities that will provide expertise and resources to the AQT.
